Merciless Intentions

The job is simple: find out what she knows, then make her disappear.

Same thing I’ve done countless times before.

When I see her, I know this job is going to be different.

She’s innocent, kind…makes me crave things I don’t even believe in.

I tell myself it doesn’t matter, that I have a job to do, but my body—my heart—don’t get the message.

And now, I’m the least of her worries.

Whoever hired me won’t stop until she’s dead.

This simple job has gotten more complicated.

But I’m going to save her and myself.

And try not to lose my heart in the process...
